ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Jeremy Hellickson tossed a complete-game four-hitter and Reid Brignac drove in three runs Saturday in the Tampa Bay Rays' 8-1 rout of Baltimore.
Hellickson (12-10) hurled his second career complete game, handcuffing the O's on one run on four hits. The rookie right- hander struck out one batter and induced 16 groundouts.
Matt Joyce cracked a solo homer -- driving in two runs overall -- and Sean Rodriguez added a two-run clout as the Rays took the rubber match of a three-game series.
Baltimore's Jeremy Guthrie (6-17) was lit up for seven runs (only three earned) on seven hits over five innings, striking out five and walking four.
The O's lost for the sixth time in eighth games despite a solo homer from Adam Jones.
