
HOUSTON, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Shawn Marcum shut the Astros out on one hit over seven innings Sunday and the Milwaukee Brewers completed a three-game sweep with a 4-0 win over Houston.
Marcum (12-5) carried a no-hitter into the sixth, allowing only a one-out single to Jordan Schafer. The right-hander broke a personal two-game losing streak, issuing only one walk while striking out eight.
Francisco Rodriguez and Takashi Saito completed the whitewash with one scoreless frame each as National League Central-leading Milwaukee improved to 84-57 on the season.
Ryan Braun went 3-for-3 with a solo homer and two-run single and Jonathan Lucroy added a bases-empty shot for the Brewers.
Houston's Wandy Rodriguez (10-10) was touched for three runs on six hits in a six-inning start.
