ATLANTA, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Martin Prado's run-scoring single in the bottom of the ninth Sunday lifted the Atlanta Braves to a 4-3 decision over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Jose Constanza stroked a one-out single off Blake Hawksworth (2-5) in the ninth and went to second base on a wild pitch.
After Chipper Jones was intentionally walked and Michael Bourn flew out, Prado collected a base hit, sending Constanza around with the winning run for the National League wild card-leading Braves, who avoided a sweep at the hands of the Dodgers.
Atlanta rallied with three runs in the seventh to forge a tie, highlighted by Brooks Conrad's two-run single.
Craig Kimbrel (4-2) earned the victory with a scoreless top of the ninth.
Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw yielded three runs (two earned) on eight hits in a seven-inning performance.
Matt Kemp blasted a three-run homer for Los Angeles.
