LOS ANGELES, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- Andre Either's grand slam home run highlighted an eight-run second inning Tuesday and the Los Angeles Dodgers cruised to an 8-5 win over San Diego.
Hiroki Kuroda (11-14) went six innings, allowing four runs on seven hits with two walks and three strikeouts to get the victory -- matching his career high, set last season.
The Dodgers won for the seventh time in eight games and improved their season record against the Padres to 7-1.
LA benefited from a rough outing by Padres' starter Tim Stauffer (8-11), who walked three batters with the bases loaded. He was charged with seven runs on just one hit and six walks in 1 2/3 innings.
Kyle Blanks and Orlando Hudson hit back-to-back homers in the sixth for the Padres, who have lost six straight.
