MLB: Toronto 7, Tampa Bay 3

TORONTO, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Jose Bautista and Adam Lind went deep and Ricky Romero turned in a strong start Monday in the Toronto Blue Jays' 7-3 victory over Tampa Bay.

Romero (13-9) overcame four walks, yielding three runs on six hits over six innings to collect the win. The left-hander logged his sixth consecutive decision -- his last loss came July 16.

The Blue Jays avoided a sweep at the hands of the Rays with the help of J.P. Arencibia, who had three hits and drove in two runs.

Tampa's Wade Davis (8-8) lasted just 4 1/3 innings, allowing six runs.

Johnny Damon belted a pair of homers for the Rays.
