EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Aug. 29 (UPI) -- Mark Sanchez went 8-of-16 through the air with a touchdown Monday, propelling the New York Jets to a 17-3 pre-season win over the New York Giants.

Sanchez tossed for 64 yards in a game that had been set for Saturday but was pushed back because of the looming Hurricane Irene.

Shonn Greene rushed 11 times for 42 yards for the Jets.

Eli Manning started and played into the third quarter for the Giants, going 15-for-30 passing for 200 yards and two interceptions.

Brandon Jacobs gained 51 yards on 10 carries before he was ejected in the third quarter for fighting with Jets rookie defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson.
