Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

TORONTO, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Desmond Jennings went 4-for-5 with two homers and David Price struck out 14 batters Sunday in the Tampa Bay Rays' 12-0 rout of Toronto.
Jennings drove in three runs with solo shots in the first and second innings and an RBI single during a six-run ninth for the Rays, who improved to 20-9 since July 28.
Sean Rodriguez added a two-run blast and Matt Joyce went 3-for-6 with a two-run double for the victors, who banged out 14 hits.
Price (12-11) won for the third time in four starts, scattering three hits over seven frames, walking two to go with his 14 strikeouts.
Toronto's Brandon Morrow (9-9) was touched for five runs on six hits over 5 1/3 innings.
