SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Jeff Keppinger's run-scoring single with two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning Saturday lifted the San Francisco Giants to a 2-1 victory over Houston.
Mark DeRosa started the winning rally by singling with one out against Fernando Rodriguez (2-3).
He then stole second base -- his first swipe since 2009 -- and two batters later, former Astro Keppinger lined a pitch into shallow right field.
DeRosa steamed around third and scored the game-winner when Brian Bogusevic's low throw went through the legs of Humberto Quintero.
The Giants notched their second straight win over Houston after dropping the initial contest in the four-game series and stayed three games behind first-place Arizona in the National League West.
Jeremy Affeldt (3-2) earned the win after retiring the final two batters in the top of the 10th.
Carlos Lee went 3-for-3 with an RBI for Houston.
