MIRABEL, Quebec, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Brittany Lincicome fired a 2-under 70 Sunday, breaking away from a pack of competitors to claim a one-stroke victory at the Canadian Women's Open.
Lincicome, who finished at 13-under-par 275, won her second title of the year and fifth in her career despite trailing third-round co-leaders Michelle Wie, Tiffany Joh and Ai Miyazato by a stroke as Sunday's round began.
Kraft Nabisco champion Stacy Lewis registered a 5-under 67 to grab a share of second place with defending champion Wie (72) at minus-12.
Tied for fourth were Cristie Kerr (71) and Angela Stanford (72) at 11-under 277.
Members of the U.S. Solheim Cup team claimed the Top 5 spots on the leaderboard at the Canadian Women's Open.
Sunday's tee times were moved up so the event could be completed before the remnants of Hurricane Irene hit Canada's Quebec province.
