MLB: Baltimore 6, Minnesota 1

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Craig Tatum doubled in two runs and Mark Reynolds added a three-run home run Thursday in boosting the Baltimore Orioles to a 6-1 win over the Minnesota Twins.

It was the first four-game sweep the Orioles ever managed in Minnesota. The Baltimore pitching staff allowed just four runs -- one in each game -- in the series.

Orioles starter Jo-Jo Reyes (7-10) gave up five hits and walked four in six innings of work but picked up the victory with the Baltimore bullpen coming through with three innings of shutout relief.

Twins starter Francisco Liriano left after two innings with a left shoulder strain. Anthony Swarzak (3-4) replaced him and allowed five runs and eight hits with two walks in 3 1/3 innings.

Liriano walked three in his short outing, including Robert Andino with the bases loaded in the second. Justin Morneau's double drove in Trevor Plouffe and tied the score for the Twins in the third.

Tatum delivered his two-run double in the sixth and Reynolds hit his 29th home run of the season in the seventh with the drive to center.
