MLB: Oakland 6, N.Y. Yankees 4 (10 inn.)

NEW YORK, Aug. 24 (UPI) -- Coco Crisp finished off the biggest game of his career Wednesday with a three-run homer in the 10th that gave Oakland a 6-4 win over the New York Yankees.

Crisp had four hits and with five RBI, and homered both left- and right-handed. Oakland has won the first two games of the series and four of five overall.

The Yankees fell out of a share of the lead with Boston in the American League East.

Crisp hit a solo homer in the first and drove in a run with a single during a two-run eighth that gave the Athletics a 3-2 lead. Mark Teixeira's solo shot in the bottom of the eighth tied it and eventually brought out extra innings.

Rafael Soriano (2-2) came on to work the 10th and gave up one-out singles to Cliff Pennington and Scott Sizemore. After Jemile Weeks fanned for the second out of the inning, Crisp hit the first pitch he saw from Soriano for his seventh homer of the year.

That made a winner out of Fautino De Los Santos (2-0), who struck out two in the ninth during his 21st relief appearance of the season.

Andrew Bailey gave up a two-out homer to Nick Swisher in the bottom of the 10th while collecting his 18th save.
