MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers 13, St. Louis 2

ST. LOUIS, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Rod Barajas hit two home runs and drive in four runs and Mat Kemp had three RBI Tuesday in the Los Angeles Dodgers 13-2 rout of St. Louis.

Barajas went 3-for-5 to lead the Dodgers' 14-hit attack and send the struggling Cardinals to their sixth loss in eight games.

Kemp hit a three-run homer and Aaron Miles added a two-run shot for the Dodgers.

Clayton Kershaw (16-5) held the Cards to six hits and struck out eight over six scoreless innings.

Kyle Lohse (11-8) took the loss with a rough three-inning start in which Los Angeles scored eight runs on eight hits, including two home runs.

St. Louis was shut out until the bottom of the ninth when Ryan Theriot and John Jay drove in the Cardinals' only runs.
