Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Nick Hundley went 4-for-4 with a two-run homer Saturday and the San Diego Padres banged out 16 hits in their 14-1 rout of Florida.
Orlando Hudson added a three-run homer and Kyle Blanks chipped in a solo blast as the Padres won for the fourth time in their last five contests.
The pair hit back-to-back long balls in the first inning off Clay Hensley (1-5), who surrendered seven runs in just 3 2/3 frames. He's winless in his last six outings.
San Diego's Aaron Harang (12-3), meanwhile, stretched his personal unbeaten streak to four starts, holding the Marlins to one run on three hits over six innings.
Struggling Florida lost for the 14th time in 16 games.
