ANAHEIM, Calif., Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Peter Bourjos banged out three hits, including a homer, and drove in three runs Sunday to pace the Los Angeles Angels' 7-1 win over Baltimore.
Howie Kendrick added a solo shot as the Angels completed a three-game sweep and moved to within four games of the Texas Rangers atop the American League West.
Jerome Williams (1-0) notched a victory in his first major league start since 2007 for Washington, allowing one run on six hits over seven innings.
The right-hander was called up from Class AAA Salt Lake City last week to take the rotation spot of the demoted Tyler Chatwood.
Baltimore starter Brian Matusz (1-6) was rocked for six runs (five earned) on eight hits over four innings.
The O's got a solo homer from Matt Wieters in their fifth straight setback.
