Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
CHICAGO, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Brent Lillibridge and Alex Rios each belted two-run homers Sunday and the Chicago White Sox pounded out 16 hits in their 10-0 rout of Texas.
Alejandro De Aza contributed three RBI as the White Sox took the rubber match of a three-game series against Texas.
Gavin Floyd (11-10) tossed seven-plus frames of shutout ball, surrendering three hits, striking out six and issuing only one walk to earn the victory.
Chicago's Jason Frazor completed the whitewash when he struck out the side in the ninth.
Derek Holland (11-5) was knocked out after only 3 1/3 innings, surrendering five runs on eight hits as the American League West-leading Rangers lost for the third time in four games.
