CELADNA, Czech Republic, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Jose Manuel Lara was 5 under par on his second nine Friday and took the clubhouse lead in second-round play of the European Tour's Czech Open.
Lara turned in a 4-under-par 68 Friday and is at 7-under 137 after 36 holes.
Mikael Lundberg is also at 7-under for the tournament but his group was among nine that were unable to finish their rounds Friday after an electrical storm caused a suspension of play for about 90 minutes earlier in the day.
Lundberg is 3-under through 15 holes in his second round.
Gary Boyd, Oliver Fisher and Damien McGrane are tied for third at 6-under. Boyd and Fisher each had a 5-under 67 Friday while McGrane shot 71. Four players, including Shane Lowry who had one hole to play in his second round, are tied for sixth at 5-under.
Lundberg had four birdies and was 8-under for the tournament until he had a bogey on his final hole -- No. 6 -- Friday and dropped into the tie with Lara.
Lara also played the back nine first Friday and was 1 over after nine holes but birdied each odd-numbered hole on the front side in moving into the lead.
