PITTSBURGH, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Ben Roethlisberger threw two touchdown passes Thursday and the Pittsburgh Steelers, helped along by three Michael Vick interceptions, downed Philadelphia 24-14.

Vick struggled in the exhibition game while throwing just 12 passes. Five of those throws wound up in the hands of his teammates and three went to the Steelers -- all on consecutive possessions in the second period.

Roethlisberger had scoring passes of 29 yards to Antonio Brown in the first quarter and 20 yards to Hines Ward in the second. The score by Ward finished off a 14-play, 96-yard drive that took 8:15 off the clock.

After Vick and backup quarterback Vince Young had no success, Mike Kafka came in to complete 14-of-19 for 160 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns.

Kafka's scoring passes went to Gerald Jones for 14 and 7 yards. Both teams are 1-1 in exhibition play.
