MILWAUKEE, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Randy Wolf hurled eight shutout innings and the Milwaukee Brewers pulled off a triple play Monday in their 3-0 whitewash of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Wolf (10-8) posted a victory in his fourth straight start, dominating the Dodgers on six hits while overcoming five walks and striking out five.

The veteran left-hander tossed 61 of his 101 pitches for strikes and lowered his ERA to 3.30 with the performance, which enabled the National League Central-leading Brewers to post their 16th win in 18 home games.

Corey Hart, Ryan Braun and Jonathan Lucroy each smacked a solo homer to provide Milwaukee's offense.

The triple play came in the second inning when James Loney grounded a ball to second baseman Josh Wilson. Wilson flipped to shortstop Yuniesky Betancourt for one out, and Betancourt threw to first baseman Prince Fielder for a second out.

The third out came when Fielder threw home to nail Matt Kemp as he tried to score on the play.

Ted Lilly (7-13) took the loss for the Dodgers, yielding only one run on two through seven innings, walking two and fanning six.
