CLEVELAND, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Colt McCoy completed 9-of-10 passes Saturday, helping the Cleveland Browns slip past the Green Bay Packers 27-17 in the pre-season openers for both teams.

McCoy completed his first possession with a 27-yard touchdown pass to receiver Josh Cribbs and also capped another drive with a 37-yard TD strike to tight end Benjamin Watson.

Watson hauled down a pair of passes for 56 yards and Peyton Hillis carried the ball five times for 16 yards and a touchdown.

Aaron Rodgers went 6-for-8 passing, gaining 74 yards and firing a touchdown for the Packers.

Green Bay's Ryan Grant, playing his first game since the 2010 season opener due to an injury, ran the ball three times for 13 yards.
