MLB: Arizona 6, New York Mets 4

PHOENIX, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Ryan Roberts belted a three-run homer Saturday and the Arizona Diamondbacks posted their fifth straight win, 6-4 over the New York Mets.

Roberts also doubled and scored twice for the D-backs, who maintained their two-game lead over San Francisco in the National League West with the victory.

Daniel Hudson (12-8) earned the victory and drove in a run with a sixth-inning RBI single. The right-hander allowed four runs (two earned) on eight hits as Arizona cliched its three-game set with the Mets.

New York's Mike Pelfrey started gave up three runs (two earned) on four hits over four-plus innings, but it was D.J. Carrasco (1-3) who was saddled with the loss after allowing Roberts' blast.

The Mets dropped their fourth straight despite a pair of RBI from Ruben Tejada.
