Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

ATLANTA, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Rookie Phillip Livas returned a punt 75 yards in the fourth quarter Friday that helped boost the Miami Dolphins to a 28-23 exhibition win over Atlanta.
The Dolphins rallied from a 17-0 deficit brought about by an Atlanta defense that dominated quarterback Chad Henne.
Matt Moore came on for the Dolphins to complete 11-of-18 passes for 123 yards and hooked up for touchdown throws with Roberto Wallace and Brian Hartline.
Matt Ryan guided the Falcons to 17 points in the first period, completing 6-of-10 for 90 yards and a touchdown.
The touchdown return by Livas gave Miami a 28-20 lead in the fourth period.
