This is the first tournament for Djokovic as the world's No. 1 ranked player and he remained unbeaten in 26 matches on hard courts this year.

He will meet Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the semifinals after Tsonga coasted past Nicolas Almagro 6-4, 6-4.

Fish, ranked a career-best ninth in the world and seeded sixth in this tournament, got past Ernest Gulbis Friday in the quarterfinals 6-3, 7-6 (10-8). Fish won in his most recent event in Atlanta.

Janko Tipsarevic eliminated Tomas Berdych 6-4, 6-4 to set up a semifinal meeting with Fish.

A Fish-Djokovic final would be their second meeting of the year. Djokovic defeated Fish in the championship match of the Sony Ericsson Open 6-1, 6-3.
