MLB: Chicago Cubs 4, Washington 2

CHICAGO, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Alfonso Soriano had an RBI double and one of Chicago's three solo homers Wednesday, carrying the Cubs to a 4-2 win over Washington.

The victory came on the night the Cubs honored third baseman Ron Santo, who spent 14 years with the team and who died in December at age 70.
