Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

CINCINNATI, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Troy Tulowitzki bashed a two-run homer and Dexter Fowler added two hits Tuesday in the Colorado Rockies' 3-2 decision over Cincinnati.
Fowler drove in a run with a fifth-inning single and Carlos Gonzalez scored a run for the Rockies, who won for the fourth time in six games.
Esmil Rogers (6-1) collected the victory, yielding two runs on eight hits over six frames as Colorado won the second of a four-game series.
Cincinnati's Dontrelle Willis (0-2) was saddled with the loss despite holding Colorado to three runs and five hits over eight innings and striking out 10.
Willis also drove in a run with a triple, and Ramon Hernandez went 3-for-4 with a run scored.
