SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Tim Lincecum held Philadelphia to one run over 7 2/3 innings Sunday and the San Francisco Giants avoided a sweep with a 3-1 victory over the Phillies.
Lincecum (10-9) stifled the Phillies on seven hits and a walk while fanning five.
His performance allowed the reigning World Series champions to salvage one win in a four-game series and stay in front of the Arizona Diamondbacks by a half-game in the National League West.
Jeff Keppinger provided four hits and drove in a run with a sacrifice fly as the Giants racked up 13 hits and broke the Phillies' nine-game winning streak.
Roy Oswalt (4-7) was tagged with the loss after coming off a six-week stint on the disabled list.
The right-hander surrendered a career-high-tying 12 hits but held San Francisco to three runs over six innings.
