Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Alejandro Moreno netted a pair of goals Saturday, boosting Chivas USA to a 3-2 decision over New England.
Moreno put the Goats ahead 1-0 in the 31st minute by taking advantage of some miscommunication in the Revolution defense and tapping a cross from Nick LaBrocca into the net.
LaBrocca made it 2-0 in the 59th minute when he freed himself from a defender before roofing a shot into the back of the net.
After New England's Shalrie Joseph converted the penalty for his seventh goal of the season 10 minutes later, Moreno struck again in the 80th and Chivas (7-8-8) held on to improve its road record to 3-4-4.
Diego Fagundez also scored for the Revs (4-10-9), who saw their three-game unbeaten streak snapped.
