
PHOENIX, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Rod Barajas smashed a two-run double that finished off a six-run third inning Friday, launching the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 7-4 victory over Arizona.
Barajas also hit a home run that helped the Dodgers to their third win in four games.
Los Angeles sent 10 men to the plate in the third, scoring six times on seven hits against Josh Collmenter (6-7).
The first run of the inning came in on a fielding error in right field by Justin Upton. Andre Ethier followed with had an RBI double, Juan Rivera drove in a run with a single and Aaron Miles produced an RBI sacrifice fly.
Barajas brought home both Rivera and Miles with his one-out double. The homer by Barajas was his 10th of the season and came in the eighth inning.
The big inning made an easy winner out of Chad Billingsley (10-9), who gave up three runs on seven hits in six innings.
