NEW YORK, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- The scheduled game between Florida and the New York Mets was postponed Wednesday due to rain.
It was to have been the final contest in a three-game series, the first two having been won by the Marlins.

No makeup date was announced. Florida returns to New York for a four-game series beginning Aug. 29.
The Marlins have won three in a row overall and the Mets have dropped four straight, leaving them tied for third place in the National League East with .500 records.
