SAN DIEGO, July 31 (UPI) -- Eliezer Alfonzo blasted a go-ahead grand slam Saturday, driving in five runs overall in the Colorado Rockies' 10-6 comeback win over San Diego.
Trailing 4-2 after the first inning, the Rockies scored the next five runs to take the lead.
Ian Stewart's RBI double in the fourth cut the deficit to 4-3. Then in the sixth, Todd Helton and Chris Nelson (3-for-5 RBI) collected two-out hits and Stewart was intentionally walked to get to Alfonzo.
The Rockies catcher pulled an 0-1 pitch from Aaron Harang (9-3) into the balcony of Western Metal Supply Co. building in left field, putting Colorado ahead for good.
Esmil Rogers (4-1) earned the victory after tossing five innings of shutout ball in relief of starter Ubaldo Jimenez, who was torched for four runs in the first inning.
Jimenez was pulled from the game after being traded to Cleveland for four minor-league prospects.
Troy Tulowitzki smacked a two-run homer and added a run-scoring double for the Rockies, who clinched their three-game set with San Diego.
Alex Gonzalez drove in three runs for the Padres.
