LOS ANGELES, July 31 (UPI) -- Gerardo Parra smacked a pair of homers and Ryan Roberts also went deep Sunday in the Arizona Diamondbacks' 6-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Parra and Roberts each hit solo homers in the second inning, staking the D-backs to a 2-0 lead, and Parra added a two-run blast in the eighth for Arizona.
Joe Saunders (8-8) went 7 2/3 innings to collect the win, giving up two runs on eight hits while walking none and fanning three as the Diamondbacks pulled within two games of first-place San Francisco in the National League West.
Dodgers starter Rubby De La Rosa (4-5) lasted only four innings, allowing three runs on five hits and four walks.
Dioner Navarro hit a solo homer and Andre Ethier went 4-for-5 for Los Angeles, which lost the three-game series to Arizona.
