Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
KITZBUHEL, Austria, July 31 (UPI) -- Robin Haase of the Netherlands advanced with a first-round victory Sunday at the Kitzbuhel Cup tennis event in Austria.
He made it into the second round after his opponent, Italian Potito Starace, retired in the second set in the day's only match.
Starace had dropped the first set 3-6 and was trailing 0-2 in the second when he threw in the towel.
Juan Ignacio Chela of Argentina is the top seed at Kitzbuhel.
