MLB: NY Yankees 8, Baltimore 3 (1st game)

NEW YORK, July 30 (UPI) -- Nick Swisher cracked a go-ahead, two-run homer Saturday and the New York Yankees went on to spank Baltimore 8-3 in Game 1 of a doubleheader.

The Orioles had tied the game with a pair of runs in the top of the fourth inning, but the Yankees came right back in the bottom of the frame, scoring three times to put the contest away.
