Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

EDMONTON, Alberta, July 24 (UPI) -- Team Penske's Will Power took the lead on the 19th lap and then held off a pair of challengers Sunday to win the Edmonton Indy.
Power claimed his fourth IndyCar win of the season and the 13th of his career after outpacing teammate Helio Castroneves and Chip Ganassi Racing's Dario Franchitti during the final 25 laps.
With the win, Power bounced back in the IZOD IndyCar Series championship points battle, moving to within 38 points of leader Franchitti after failing to finish his previous two races.
Power beat Castroneves by 0.8 seconds while Franchitti ended up in third place.
Tony Kanaan and Justin Wilson rounded out the Top 5.
