LOS ANGELES, July 24 (UPI) -- Rafael Furcal delivered a game-winning double in the bottom of the ninth inning Saturday, rallying the Los Angeles Dodgers over Washington 7-6.
Rod Barajas led off the ninth with a single off Ryan Mattheus (2-2) and went to second one out later on Jamie Carroll's single.
Furcal then sent a pitch into the left-center field gap that just eluded a diving Laynce Nix, handing the Dodgers a victory in the middle game of a weekend series against the Nationals.
Los Angeles had trailed 6-2 at one point in the game.
Dodgers starter Ted Lilly, who allowed six runs on eight hits over five innings, drove in three runs for Los Angeles.
Javy Guerra (2-0) earned the victory with a scoreless top of the ninth.
Jayson Werth and Rick Ankiel each contributed two-run doubles for the Nats.
