MLB: New York Mets 8, Florida 5

MIAMI, July 23 (UPI) -- Gaby Sanchez homered twice and Logan Morrison went deep during a big sixth inning Saturday that carried Florida past the New York Mets 8-5.

The Marlins erased a 2-0 deficit with a four-run outburst in the sixth. It began when Emilio Bonifacio led off with an infield single against Mets starter Chris Capuano (8-10) -- Bonifacio's 22nd straight game with a hit.

Omar Infante followed with an RBI triple, and the next batter, Sanchez, belted a 2-2 pitch that just cleared the left field wall for a go-ahead, two-run homer.

Two batters later, Morrison sent a pitch into the right field stands for a 4-2 Florida lead and the Marlins went on to even their three-game set with the Mets.

Sanchez added another two-run blast in the seventh, finishing 3-for-4 with four RBI.

Burke Badenhop (2-1) got the win with 1 1/2 innings in relief of starter Clay Hensley, who had yielded two runs over five frames.

Capuano allowed four runs on six hits in a six-inning start for the Mets.
