CHICAGO, July 22 (UPI) -- Alfonso Soriano and Aramis Ramirez hit fifth-inning home runs Friday that carried the Chicago Cubs to a 4-2 victory over the Houston Astros.
Soriano led off the fifth with his 15th home run of the year and Ramirez capped a four-run rally with a two-run shot for his 18th.
Carlos Zambrano (7-5) collected the win after giving up nine hits and both Houston runs. He walked one and struck out three. Sean Marshall, the sixth Cubs pitcher of the game, earned his third save with a perfect ninth.
Houston starter Bud Norris (5-7) also gave up nine hits but didn't walk a batter while striking out five in 6 1/3 innings.
Four of the hits came in the Chicago fifth. After Soriano hit his home run, Darwin Barney and Zambrano singled. After an out, Barney stole third and was in place for a sacrifice fly from Starlin Castro. Ramirez followed three pitches later with his home run.
Houston scored a run in the second inning on a double play and went up 2-0 in the fourth when Michael Bourn had an RBI single.
