
DENVER, July 20 (UPI) -- Troy Tulowitzki hit a three-run homer and Carlos Gonzalez had a two-run shot Tuesday in the Colorado Rockies to a 12-3 thumping of Atlanta.
Ubaldo Jimenez (6-8) allowed two runs on seven hits in 6 2/3 innings to get the win.
Dexter Fowler and Seth Smith both had three RBI for the Rockies, who halted a three-game losing streak and outhit Atlanta 14-9.
Dan Uggla had two solo home runs for the Braves, who lost to Colorado for the first time this season.
Brandon Beachy (3-2) took the loss. Beachy gave up six runs on nine hits and five walks over 4 2/3 innings.
Atlanta's bullpen gave up six runs in 3 1/3 innings.
The Rockies scored a run in five of the eight innings played while Atlanta was kept off the scoreboard until the fourth inning when they cut Colorado's lead to 6-1.
