MINNEAPOLIS, July 18 (UPI) -- David Huff allowed five hits in seven innings and Cleveland had two home runs Monday in the Indians' 5-2 win over Minnesota in the first game of a doubleheader.
Asdrubal Cabrera had a three-run home run in the third inning and Austin Kearns led off the ninth with a homer to account for the bulk of the Indians' offense.

Minnesota starter Anthony Swarzak (2-3), pressed into service because of the doubleheader, allowed six hits, including the three-run shot by Cabrera, and struck out four over six innings.
Lonnie Chisenhall opened the Cleveland third by reaching on an error. Ezequiel Carrera singled and Michael Brantley got Chisenhall home with another base hit. Cabrera followed with a blast into the seats beyond right field for his 17th home run of the season.
Kearns' home run -- his second this year -- was a drive to left that reached the second deck.
Cuddyer ruined the shutout bid with his 14th homer.
