MLB: Texas 3, Seattle 1

SEATTLE, July 17 (UPI) -- Matt Harrison hurled 7 2/3 effective innings and Mitch Moreland homered Sunday in the Texas Rangers' 11th straight win, a 3-1 decision over Seattle.

Harrison (8-7) allowed only one run on five hits, walking one and fanning four as the Rangers extended the major leagues' longest winning streak of the year.

Neftali Feliz picked up his 20th save in the ninth for the Texas, which stretched its lead in the American League West to four games over the Los Angeles Angels.

Moreland's second-inning blast off Mariners starter Blake Beavan (1-1) scored David Murphy and Mark Napoli ahead of him and put Texas ahead to stay.

Beavan yielded three runs on six hits over 6 2/3 innings for the struggling Mariners, who dropped their ninth straight.

Jack Wilson collected Seattle's only RBI.
