SAN DIEGO, July 15 (UPI) -- Pablo Sandoval drove in two runs and scored one more in a five-run San Francisco rally in the 12th inning Thursday, giving the Giants a 6-2 win over San Diego.

Aubrey Huff had tied the score 1-1 with a leadoff home run in the ninth inning off Padres closer Heath Bell and the Giants used three walks, an error and three singles in scoring five times in the 12th.

Cady Ross and Branford Crawford opened the inning off San Diego reliever Luke Gregerson (2-3) with walks. San Francisco loaded the bases when Eli Whiteside tried a sacrifice bunt but reached in an error by Gregerson.

Gregerson got two outs but walked Mike Fontenot on four pitches, forcing in a run. Sandoval capped an eight-pitch at-bat by lining a single to left that drove in two runs. RBI singles from Nate Schierholtz and Huff finished off the rally.

San Diego got a run in the 12th on Will Venable's sacrifice fly but Brian Wilson got the final out for his 27th save. Santiago Casilla (2-1), who pitched perfect 10th and 11th innings, got the win.

Chris Headley had a run-scoring single for San Diego in the third inning and the Padres pitchers kept the Giants off the board until the ninth when Huff connected for his ninth home run of the year.
