COMMERCE CITY, Colo., July 10 (UPI) -- Colorado's Conor Casey scored the game's opening goal in the first half Saturday and the Rapids went on to a 2-1 win over Vancouver.
Casey scored in the 25th minute, controlling a pass from Jamie Smith before sending a shot under diving Vancouver goalkeeper Joe Cannon.
The Rapids (6-5-9) doubled their advantage in the 68th when Casey headed a free kick that was stopped by Cannon but Scott Palguta was there for the follow-up.
Camilo tallied in the 77th minute for expansion Vancouver (2-10-8).
