MLB: Philadelphia 3, Atlanta 2 (10 inn.)

PHILADELPHIA, July 9 (UPI) -- Raul Ibanez hit a one-out homer in the 10th inning Friday to give Philadelphia a 3-2 win over Atlanta in a meeting of the top two teams in the NL East.

The game was delayed by rain at the start and finished more than 5 hours after it had been scheduled to begin.

The Ibanez homer was the first run for either team since the fourth inning and boosted Philadelphia's division lead over Atlanta to 3 1/2 games. The Braves had won four straight.

Scott Proctor (1-3) served up the game-winning homer to the second batter he faced.

Juan Perez (1-0), making his 27th major league appearance scattered over three seasons, claimed his first career victory.

Charlie Manuel won his 600th game with the Phillies, becoming the third manager in franchise history to reach that total. Gene Mauch won 646 during the 1960s and Harry Wright won 636 in the 19th century.
