M. Miyazato leads rainy U.S. Women's Open

COLORADO SPRINGS, July 9 (UPI) -- Mika Miyazato carded a 4-under-par 67 in the second round of the rain-plagued U.S. Women's Open Saturday in Colorado, good for a one-stroke lead.

Miyazato, looking to win her first LPGA Tour victory, ended the day at 5-under 137. That was one shot better than Ai Miyazato (no relation to Mika), who registered a 3-under 68 as players at The Broadmoor dodged enough raindrops to complete a second round that began Friday.

Tournament officials briefly began the third round Saturday, but delayed it again after less than an hour. It is now set to resume at 8:45 a.m. (EDT) Sunday, with a final round now likely to stretch into Monday.

I.K. Kim held sole possession of third place, firing a 2-under 69 to finish at 3-under 139.

Sharing fourth place were Stacy Lewis (73) and Ryann O'Toole (72) at minus-1.
