Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
SAN FRANCISCO, July 6 (UPI) -- Cameron Maybin went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs to lead the San Diego Padres to a 5-3 win over San Francisco.
Two of Maybin's RBI came on a sixth-inning triple that overcame a 3-2 Giants lead.
Anthony Rizzo had two RBI for San Diego. Tim Stauffer (5-5) earned the win and Heath Bell picked up his 26th save.
Matt Cain (7-5) lost for the first time since May 29, giving up three runs -- two earned -- on eight hits over six innings. Cain also drove in a run with a fourth-inning single that put the Giants ahead 3-2.
Aaron Rowand was credited with the other San Francisco RBI. Miguel Tejada and Aubrey Huff went 2-for-4.
