Edwin Jackson (5-7) was touched for four runs on eight hits and a walk. He struck out six.

Kansas City scored in four different innings. The Royals got a run in the first on a double play and went up 2-0 when Eric Hosmer led off the second with his eighth home run of the year.

A Jeff Francoeur RBI single in the fourth drove in Alex Gordon and made the score 3-0. Francoeur added a sacrifice fly in the sixth -- again driving in Gordon.

The White Sox opened the bottom of the sixth with three singles and, one out later, Adam Dunn walked to force in a run.
