
BOSTON, July 4 (UPI) -- Aaron Hill and Travis Snider each went 3-for-5 with two RBI Monday, boosting the Toronto Blues to a 9-7 victory over Boston.
Hill's solo homer in the second inning put the Blue Jays up 2-0 and Snider's two-run double in the third extended Toronto's advantage to 7-0.
Rajai Davis and John McDonald each added two hits and an RBI for the Blue Jays, who logged a victory in the first of a three-game series at Fenway Park.
Brandon Morrow (5-4) collected the victory with a five-inning start, allowing four runs on five hits. Frank Francisco earned his 10th save after the Red Sox scored three times in the eighth to make it close.
Boston's John Lackey (5-8) was rocked for seven runs on nine hits before being yanked after 2 1/3 innings.
Jacoby Ellsbury went 4-for-5, including a two-run triple, and Jarrod Saltalamacchia also drove in two runs with a three-bagger for the Red Sox.
