SAN JOSE, Calif., July 3 (UPI) -- Joel Lindpere scored both New York goals Saturday, including the equalizer in the 85th minute in the Red Bulls' 2-2 draw with San Jose.

Linpere, filling in for the ill Thierry Henry, put New York (5-3-10) up 1-0 early in the game with a goal in the 7th minute.

But more importantly, he got the equalizer in the 85th, launching a shot from 20 yards that deflected at an extreme angle off a San Jose defenseman and left Earthquakes goalie Jon Busch no chance for a save.

Khari Stephenson scored in the first half and Steven Lenhart gave San Jose (5-5-6) a 2-1 lead in the 68th minute on a powerful header past New York goalie Bouna Coundoul.
