TORONTO, July 3 (UPI) -- Eric Thames, Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion all homered in the eighth inning Sunday, boosting the Toronto Blue Jays to a 7-4 win over Philadelphia.
Thames led off the inning with a solo blast off Philadelphia starter Cliff Lee (9-6), forging a 4-4 tie, and the next batter, Bautista, belted his major league-best 27th homer of the season, handing Toronto its first lead of the day.
Adam Lind then singled and one out later Encarnacion capped the rally with a two-run shot as the Blue Jays salvaged one win in their three-game interleague set against the Phillies.
Rajai Davis went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and the rally made a winner of Octavio Dotel (2-1), who tossed 1 2/3 frames of scoreless relief.
Lee ended up allowing seven runs (six earned) on 10 hits through 7 1/3 innings -- his worst outing of the year for first-place Philadelphia.
Jimmy Rollins highlighted a four-run second inning with a two-run single.
