MINNEAPOLIS, July 3 (UPI) -- Danny Valencia's seventh-inning single sent three runners home Sunday, rallying the Minnesota Twins to a 9-7 interleague win over Milwaukee.
Trailing 7-5 entering the seventh, the Twins scored four times to stun the Brewers and claim the rubber match of a three-game series at Target Field.
Michael Cuddyer's RBI single with two outs off Kameron Loe (2-7) scored Ben Revere and sent Joe Mauer to second, cutting the Twins' deficit to 7-6.
Jim Thome then drew a walk and Valencia lined a hit to shallow left that got past a stumbling Mark Kotsay, rolling all the way to the wall. Valencia was credited with a two-run single with Cuddyer scoring on Kotsay's error.
Joe Nathan tossed a scoreless eighth and Glen Perkins picked up his first save of the year after relieving Matt Capps, who was yanked after allowing a pair of hits in the ninth.
Phil Dumatrait (1-1) earned the victory and Rene Tosoni belted a three-run homer in Minnesota's win.
Kotsay drove in three runs with a solo homer and two-run triple and Rickie Weeks added a solo shot for Milwaukee.
