ANAHEIM, Calif., July 3 (UPI) -- Ervin Santana held the Dodgers to one run over 7 2/3 innings Sunday, helping lift the Los Angeles Angels to a 3-1 victory over the crosstown Dodgers.
Santana (4-8) won for the first time since May 25, a span of seven starts.
The right-hander yielded six hits, walked only one and struck out eight as the Angels took the rubber match of their three-game interleague series with the Dodgers.
Jordan Walden secured the win with his 19th save.
The Angels trailed 1-0 for much of the game but took the lead with three runs in the seventh. Bobby Abreu doubled, went to third on a wild pitch and scored on Vernon Wells' groundout.
Chad Billingsley (7-7) then hit Howie Kendrick with a pitch and one out later Russell Branyan smashed a go-ahead, two-run homer.
Billingsley tossed a complete-game three-hitter, allowing three runs, walking two and fanning six.
James Loney went 3-for-4 with an RBI double for the Dodgers.
